All participants enroll in the Summer Institute as Course Participants, a non-credit option. Participants will not receive academic credit or a formal grade for their participation. No transcript will be issued; however, the Summer Institute will issue a Certificate of Attendance if requested via email. To begin the process of enrolling in the Summer Institute, complete the online Summer Institute registration.
Payment is required, in full, 30 days prior to the first day of class to be officially registered for class. Payments must be made directly to the Summer Institute online via credit card. The payment link is referenced in the registration confirmation email.
Invoice
A receipt will be provided upon payment; however, if a participant needs an invoice, please contact the Summer Institute at isr.summer@umich.edu. Non-payment by a sponsor becomes the liability and responsibility of the participant.
Course Cancellations
In the event that a course has low enrollments, it may become necessary to cancel a scheduled course. Participants are advised to take this into consideration when planning.
