For current graduate students in the University of Michigan Rackham Graduate School Division III (social Sciences programs), Rackham provides Summer Training Awards through the Summer Institute. These awards provide support to take courses offered by the Summer Institute that would significantly contribute to their graduate education. 

The Rackham awards provides 2/3 of the registration fees, if there is students’ department or faculty support covering the remaining fees. 

If you qualify for and are interested in the awards, please complete the Rackham award application. This provides a way to describe how the remaining fees will be covered if your department or faculty sponsor pay for your Summer Institute course. Its deadline is Monday, March 1, 2026.
